2.    Interview

Yungu has a unique interview process so that you and Yungu can get to know each other better. Please check out these tips to help you better prepare for an interview.

The interview process:

Campus recruitment: Online written test-telephone interview- Open Day experience activities

Online written test: If you pass the resume screening, we will notify you by email and SMS online written test time and entry. Please make sure to pay attention to the written examination deadline. All of the questions are open-ended questions, which are based on the actual working situation in Yungu, and will help us to understand more about you and help you to learn more about how YGers work.

Telephone / Video Interview:

In a phone / video interview, you may be talking to a future colleague or mentor. If it is not convenient for you to conduct an interview when the interviewer first contacts you, please politely communicate with the interviewer and make an appointment for the next interview.

On average, the phone / video interview lasts 30 to 45 minutes. Please be prepared to answer behavioral, hypothetical, or case-based questions that cover your knowledge of the position.

If you are applying for a technical position, the duration is usually 30 to 60 minutes. You may need to write code on the spot and articulate your ideas at the same time. It is recommended that you use a hands-free headset or speaker for the convenience of typing.

Open Day:

After the telephone interview, you will be invited to an Open Day in Yungu. During the one-day experience day, in the morning you will learn about Yungu School and the trainee program, and you will participate in group interviews, and work with other candidates to complete a project proposal and presentation of the actual working scenario in Yungu. In the afternoon you will have an opportunity to interact with Yungu students. In the group interview and interactive activities, teachers will make real-time observation and assessment. If you pass the assessment,  you will enter the final interview. The final interview will be conducted by four teachers (including the principal and some of the leaders of your future team) , which usually lasts for 45-60 minutes.

Throughout the interview process, you can feel free to ask the interviewer to clarify the interview questions, to ensure that you fully understand the question asked. You can also speak freely and ask questions about the job, the team, and the culture. This will help you determine if the position is right for you.
